This production has gained tremendous momentum since its initial release, teaming up Brooklyn's Ras Kush, Peter Seale, and David Ondrick with impressive results.
The LP was recently mentioned in the single mania section of the French publication
"Natty Dread", and is also making waves in Japan as well.
The track listing begins with
"Rise Up", featuring P-Tah on lead vocals along with David on backing vocals. P-TAH describes the song as "A conscious call for one and all to uprise in this time, and take the responsibility of defending human rights against its oppressors in this world endangered by war and superpowers"
The second track features the melodica cut
"Earth People", with P-TAH dropping the lead melodica with horn support from David alto sax. The track carries the Augustus Pablo sound of the "King David Melody" style.
Veteran deejay Ranking Joe supplies the vocal track on the third cut,
"Can't Keep Rasta Down", delivering a call to break free of the bonds of the system.
"Dub Rise" finishes out the LP, mixed by engineer Ticklah for Ras Kush. The track booms out heavy-duty drum and bass along with great effects that are reminiscent of the King Tubby sound.
